Last night Leah and I made a delish dessert from a few things we had in the pantry. We were pretty deep into a Hallmark Christmas movie and the urge to have a quick but decadent dessert grew stronger. This is also a fast one for quilting or book club get togethers!
Leah’s Black Forest Tummy Yummies
1 box of Ghirardelli Dark Chocolate Brownie Mix & the ingredients listed on the box to make them
1 can of cherry pie filling, divided
1 tsp of almond extract
good vanilla ice cream like Breyer’s Vanilla Bean
Make the brownies on the box as directed but add half the can of cherry pie filling and 1 tsp of pure almond extract to the mix before baking. We baked them in a 9×9 pan.
Cool brownies and serve with a spoonful of the remaining cherry pie filling and a generous scoop of ice cream. Enjoy!

My family loves this dish. I have the recipe that makes it with a devils food cake mix. All yummy!
