A Fresh Start!

Yesterday the Christmas tree and decorations came down, the house got cleaned, and that sense of a fresh start began! I love the feeling and the energy that follows it as goals are written down and plans are made. On my last podcast episode (#55) I talked about my guiding words for 2020. I chose ‘service’ and ‘believe’. I’m looking forward to a year of paying forward the blessings I feel I have received and believing that all will be well. Have you chosen words for the year?

Over the last few days I’ve been working on projects for upcoming workshops. I was planning on posting photos but I got overwhelmed looking through my phone and sorting through hundreds of holiday pictures…so I made the decision to post my adorable bunny in his new gingerbread house instead!

I didn’t think you’d mind.

I have a lot of quilting and writing goals for the year. Many kits and patterns are competing for time against the ideas for original quilts that I have in mind. I’ve found my best way to give sort of equal playing time is to have a main quilt that I’m working on plus a second one that I tinker around with in my down time. That second quilt ends up being the one that I work on in the evening while waiting for dinner to finish cooking or early in the morning on weekends. Do you have a system for working on more than one quilt at at time? I’d love to hear about it.

If you aren’t on my newsletter list and would like to be, you can sign up in the space on the right side bar of this page. A new one went out yesterday with the latest happenings. If you missed it, you can read it right here.

I’d love to hear about your quilting goals for the year. Please share so we can cheer each other on!
