What Do You Call An Immature Goat?

A silly Billy, of course! Lol, did I entice you to open the blog post? I spent last week in close contact with a goat but his name wasn’t Billy. I named my goat friend, Felipe! And he’s all finished!

My little Felipe went from a photo I took a few years ago to a new sketch and finally to a finished fabric collage.

He is made from 100’s of tiny pieces of fabric that have been glued to a printed fabric sheet and then free motion quilted. This is Felipe’s backside, if you will…

He looks like a thread sketching and that makes me super happy! I love the look of thread sketching and thread painting. It all makes my heart sing.

Last Friday I put a video on Facebook with an update on how Felipe was coming along. You can see that right here,

In the video I show what I thought would be my next fabric collage, the little green church in Hanalei. I decided since it’s fall y’all that I should do one more autumn like so this will be next…

Other things I’m working on include a Hawaiian jelly roll slice rug…my students will be making their own versions next week!

And on the long arm is my mother’s beautiful Royal Star. She pieced this as part of our summer quilt a long!

So at the risk of typing any more baaadddddddd jokes, I’ll wrap this up! Drop me a comment and let me know what you are all working on this week.
