How Do I Find Craftsy Patterns Now?

Breaking up is hard to do…

You might have heard by now that yesterday Craftsy sent emails to small business designers that due to a reorganization, they will be closing our Craftsy pattern stores as of 12/28. If you are looking for patterns from me under my company name of Quilt Cabana Patterns, you can still find them in my Etsy store here. I’m sad that Craftsy has made this decision but I suspect it has to do with their bottom line. They claim they will reopen the marketplace sometime in 2019. I hope that happens.

Other than that sad news, I’m feeling pretty good! The Christmas shopping is finished, the wrapping is done, the goodies have been delivered, and I am just waiting on Amanda to finally arrive home tomorrow!

I have been contemplating a new planner and I put out a request for recommendations and received lots of feedback. In the end, I went with the Quilty Planner and it arrived this morning! I can barely contain my excitement over this, lol! I’m looking forward to flipping through this later today.

Last night I decided to make a rope bowl sample for my January workshop. I haven’t made a rope bowl in a few years and I forgot how fun and easy they are. I chose bright colors and made this cute bowl…

I had a finish this week as well…my Jacob’s Ladder Quilt A Long project is complete. My students and I participated in this quilt a during the fall and summer months. I have to say, I love how it came out and I’d like to make another in Christmas fabric.

I wanted to share how wonderful my mom is with you all…a few months ago she presented me with these two binders…and I laughed when I saw them! Do you know what was inside? In one binder was every article published and unpublished that I’ve ever written since I was a little girl. All photocopied and page protected. In the other binder was every project I’ve ever had published in a magazine, book, and online. I was so completely amazed that she took the time to do this but I shouldn’t have been surprised at all. That’s just her way…love you, mom.

  1. Craftsy was sure fun while it lasted. I guess they’ve gone overboard with the new “Blueprint” video lessons. I think their linking supplies to patterns was a good idea, I tried it as an Amazon affiliate, but Craftsy didn’t stock enough quilty things to make it worthwhile. They should have gone all in like we did.
Oh well, it’s Christmastime, and you have everything ready, nicely done:)
