McCalls/Update on my dark art quilt/Stuff

Hey there,

Today I am STILL working on writing the pattern for Leahbelle’s Garden.  I am having so much trouble getting my Photoshop to print the true color of the quilt for the cover.  I’ve tried all the recommended fixes and now I’m praying over it. I’m at my wit’s end with that thing!

I do have several cool fabrics that I’m dying to use this week on a new project….here’s a picture of them.

I mentioned before that I had a major migraine driving home from the last quilt guild meeting and that I was possibly inspired after a lecture on art quilts to turn this migraine into a dark, art quilt.  Try to imagine me saying, “dark, art quilt” in my spookiest voice!!!  LOL.  Anyway…I did start the art quilt and it will be named “Migraine”.  I set up a second sewing machine in my craft room so I can work on this when I feel like it.  So here is the quilt so far….

If you receive McCall’s Quilting for December this week…check out pg. 94 for my Snowy Dream quilt!

This quilt is a great addition to add to your holiday decorations.  As always…easy piecing and fusible applique!

Lastly, I wanted to mention that the fair committee at my church has come up with a wonderful idea for this year’s fair.  In addition to the regular fair tables/raffles/snacks they are having a quilt show!  Quilts will be hung in the sanctuary and I really think this will draw more people to the event.  Look at how many people attend quilt shows every weekend…how great to have one at the fair!

That’s it for me today…have to get back to work!

Happy Quilting!

Sandi
