Crazy week & a Tumbler

This week the girls started school again.  The two older girls had no problem but my little one had many tears all week long.  She is starting middle school (4th grade) and has a new school and new bus to contend with.  Today was the first day all week that she left the house with dry eyes.  I’m hoping she has a really great day!

While the kids have been gone, I got to work finishing up that Tumbler quilt I started over April vacation.  As of this morning, it now resides in my living room.  Yesterday I set it up on my Flynn Frame and did a stipple pattern from edge to edge.  I encountered a few problems, most notably the quilt being very heavy and my arms getting tired which resulted in a little messier stipple than I would have liked.  That prompted me to start looking into a stitch regulator for my machine which is a Viking Sapphire 875 Q.  I found the Fab-U-Motion with stitch regulator product meant for Husqvarna machines but I’m having trouble swallowing the price!  I’ve seen them anywhere from $500-$1200….ouch.  If anyone has one of these gadgets,  please let me know if it’s worth those big bucks or not?

So here is the quilt…

The next project I am working on is a Christmas wall hanging.  I bought all my fabric this week and worked on the design.  I  actually have to type a pattern first and then I can work on the wall hanging….typing patterns isn’t as fun as designing them!

I’m hoping to get my podcast out next week as well!

Hope you all have a wonderful week!
