Today I am thankful for so many things but in particular I was thinking about how many people I know who have had cancer or are currently facing this disease. The thankful part is that I am so glad that there are effective medicines that are helping these people to recover from the disease and also to live with it. Of course we wish all forms of cancer and every other ugly illness could be banished but unfortunately, that has not happened. We do have treatments now that are working which is wonderful and I’m so truly thankful for that. If you have money set aside for charities this year, perhaps you could include one that contributes to cancer research.
