Back to normal…I think.

It has been a crazy few days here as we muddled through Hurricane Sandy! I appreciate all the warm thoughts I received via Twitter from everyone! It made passing time without electricity so much more fun! The power has been restored and I have been restored with coffee, that is. I hope that everyone who is still feeling the hurricane’s effect will be back to normal soon too. I complained about my power being out but I am very grateful that it was the worst of our problems. My heart goes out to those who were not as lucky.

We spent our time playing board games, binding a quilt, roasting hot dogs in the fireplace and doing crazy things like flashlight wars with the neighbors across the street! We also had an ice cream eating night to use up the ice cream before it melted. Yummy.

Yesterday the UPS man brought my copies of QuiltMaker’s 100 Blocks, volume 6! I am on page 34 if you have the magazine. I will be part of the blog tour on Wednesday, November 7th so be sure to check out the blog that day. There will be a chance to win a copy of the magazine! Also a chance for a grand prize from QuiltMaker magazine.

I am off to get some work done and eagerly await the arrival of my new Singer Featherweight…pictures will be coming! I had asked around for name ideas and the girls like the name that Kati R. came up with which was Snow White. I think that might be it!

Have a good day.
Sandi
