Fall Pretties

I drove Leah to school this morning and this was the beautiful scene near my home at Robins Pond.

I had to pull over and take a picture! Ahhhh…I love fall so much!! The water vapor is rising above the pond…so beautiful.

Last week the girls and I went to get pumpkins for carving. We were invited to a pumpkin carving party that was a lot of fun. I took a few pictures at the farm stand and we were amazed at how deep the lines on the pumpkins seem to be this year? I tried Googling it to see if it had anything to do with weather conditions this summer but I couldn’t find anything. Look how pretty they are!

Lindsey and Leah got theirs carved at the party and Amanda will have to do hers another time. She was feeling like there weren’t any teens at the party so she hung around at home instead. The party was just across the street so she did make an appearance later on ๐Ÿ™‚ We set the newly carved pumpkins up with our other pumpkins on the front door step. The one on the left bottom step is the one Lindsey grew in the garden this year.

The sign on the door that says “BOO” is from the neighborhood booing that we have each year. Someone in the neighborhood starts it off by leaving a basket of Halloween treats on the door step anonymously. The doorbell rings and when you open the door, no one is there but the treat is waiting! We were the first to be boo’d this year and in an effort to move it through the neighborhood before Halloween, we were asked to do prepare two Boo baskets. In some years, we have just made it around before Halloween night so doing two at a time sounds like a good idea to me! Here are the baskets we prepared for the night we boo’d the neighbors.

Have a super day!

  1. What a great idea of “boo”ing the neighbors! ๐Ÿ™‚ The pumpkins are looking good! Too bad Amanda didn’t do it, it’s not as fun doing it on her own. Maybe She should invite over some friends and carve it together. Wouldn’t that be fun? ๐Ÿ™‚
I love your fall picture, I used to drive by the Reservoir to go to work in the morning and it looked the same with the water vapor rising when the Sun was just coming up. Beautiful!
