Keepsake Quilting Part 2 – Center Harbor Inn

This is part two of a three part post on my trip to Keepsake Quilting in Center Harbor, NH. If you missed the first part and would like to catch up, click here.

Yesterday’s post shows pictures of the quilt shop and today’s post has some photos of Center Harbor Inn where my mom, daughter and I stayed the night. Since Keepsake Quilting and the Inn sit on Lake Winnipesaukee I didn’t think we’d be able to get a room on one day’s notice. Luck was on our side and when I called on Friday to book the room for Saturday, they had a room and gave us a $10 discount on the room since we were heading to the quilt shop! The Inn was clean and offered a small, free continental breakfast. The staff was friendly and the view was outstanding! We had a room with a balcony that overlooked the lake. We could just walk down a few stairs be on the beach. Lindsey liked that very much.

This is the front office.

This is our guest room.

Here are some pictures of the beautiful lake.

This is the view up the street a bit from the Inn and Keepsake is located on the left side of the road. It’s not visible in this photo but that big mountain in the background is Mt. Washington.

The next photo is to show you the gift shop that Lindsey was wanting to visit. It is called “Yikes” and it has really nice hand crafted merchandise. We joked that you took a look at the price tag and it made you say, “Yikes!!”.

We had a lovely dinner out at Hart’s Turkey Farm which specializes in yes, you guess it, turkey! Every kind of turkey imaginable was on the menu plus regular burgers, steaks, seafood, you name it.

I didn’t think I’d want turkey in July but the smell of a turkey dinner permeated the whole restaurant and made my mouth water. Mom got the turkey dinner and I got a turkey divan. Lindsey opted for the lobster roll. We were served two different complimentary cracker/cheese trays which was a nice touch. The food was delicious and I’d definitely go back there. The restaurant also had a cute gift shop in the lobby.

The next post will be about our ride home and our stop at Joey’s Diner and Pizzeria in Amherst, NH.

I’m still working on the apple core quilt. I have all the apple cores stitched into rows and now I’m working on sewing rows together!
Have a super day!

  1. What a beautiful weekend, and so many memories! I’d love to be able to visit that place one day, it just looks like so much fun, especially with your mom and daughter. I’m so envious!
