A Holly Jolly Friday

It’s been a big week around here for our family- mostly Leah. Last weekend was the annual Christmas on The Common celebration in our town and Leah marched in the parade as well as performed dances with her dance company. Tuesday, she was inducted into National Honor Society for which we are very proud. She’s continuing our streak with having three daughters all inducted.

And this weekend is the Nutcracker! She has several parts and we are super excited about seeing her dance. She and I had a much needed break on Wednesday and we spent the afternoon making gingerbread cookies (in the shapes of bunnies and dinosaurs because, hey, why the heck not?
While baking we watched Christmas Everlasting which is famed author/quilter Marie Bostwick’s book turned into movie, on Hallmark. It was fabulous. I’m sure you can still catch it On Demand through cable. Lots of good quilting mojo in that movie!

This week I helped Gail put some borders on this diamond beauty!

And today I have begun long arming my Jacob’s Ladder quilt along quilt.

That’s all I have for this week as I’m headed to Nutcracker duties!
Enjoy the weekend!
