Quilty Christmas Loot

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! I enjoyed every minute of mine and now I’m lazing around for a day or so while it all sinks in. It was a busy week with several events to attend and host. It was all fun and now I’m looking at the awesome quilty loot I was lucky enough to acquire over Christmas. I have looked at the loot but not started working on anything….yet. Here goes….

My mom gave me this wonderful book on Redwork Embroidery. I’m excited to try something from this book. I’ll have to look through my stash and see what I have for Perle Cotton to begin with.

My sister in law completely surprised my mom and I both with layer cakes and charm packs of Keepsake Quilting’s 1930’s Collection. We spent some serious time petting these. I was hoping my mom would ‘forget’ hers here at the house but she didn’t. LOL!

I also received this red and white Nordic pattern and all the fabric to make it! I kept eyeing it in the Connecting Threads catalog and I’m thrilled to start this soon. I’ll be washing fabric today.

My mom also gave me the Accuquilt GOQube for 8″ squares along with the companion Eleanor Burns book on how to make the most of it and a bunch of patterns and blocks to make. So with this set of dies, I can make all of these blocks:

So cool.

Santa also dropped a few fat quarters in my stocking…

It was a pretty quilty Christmas around here! Next week I’ll be back with regular blogging.

Have you all thought of your word for 2016? I’m leaning toward ‘Faith’.
