Christmas Patterns, Fitness Fri & TBT

We made it to Friday! Yahooooooooo!!!

Let’s begin with Fitness Friday or lack thereof. I’m not even going to bother posting my steps for the week as I only had one day that was over 8,000 steps. The weather has been less than stellar and the pile of paperwork and sewing has kept me a desk/sewing machine jockey all week. I did manage to lose two pounds which makes me wonder if my new diet strategy should be a daily slice of blueberry pie ala mode and no exercise because it seems to have worked for me this week!! LOL! Care to join me?

Postcard Swap Reminder —- deadline is approaching, get those postcards finished up and in the mail, ladies!

And don’t forget to post photos of them in the newly created Fall Fabric Postcard Swap 2014 group on Flickr

My Throwback Thursday photo is a day late…this is one of many gorgeous pin cushions that my grandmother, Daisy, made in the hay day of her sewing career. Isn’t it beautiful with the ribbons folded just so. I have two or more of these in my sewing storage and I’ve always been afraid to use them because they are too pretty. I pulled one out this week and started to use it because it makes me feel connected to her in many ways. I’m sure she’d rather it be used then looked at and then put away for another 5 years.

I officially started my newsletter back up again this week. If you would like to be on the mailing list for it, please CLICK HERE and scroll to bottom. I do not ever and will not ever sell your email address so please feel confident adding your email to the list. The newsletter will have its own content and hopefully not repeat too many things you read here on the blog.

I think Christmas is sneaking into the hearts and minds of people this week. I LOVE Christmas and I feel like we could all use some serious joy in our hearts and minds right about now. I have had several pattern sales of Coming Down The Chimney in the last few days. If you are interested in ordering this pattern, you can find it here on Craftsy.
