Fitness Friday & Art Quilt Progress

I kicked my walking up a notch this week. It was the first full week that I really tried to hit 10,000 steps daily. I managed to get over 10k five out of seven days this week. On the two days that I didn’t, I had 9K and 6k. I have even moved up on the Fitbit leader board by a spot or two and I dropped 2.5 pounds this week. I feel like it was a success even though I went out to eat for dinner one night and had frozen yogurt out with the girls yesterday.

I also made progress with The Lindsey Project. Yesterday morning was spent working on the foreground of the piece. The right side is nearing completion but I need more time in the sewing room to work on it. Hopefully this weekend I can sneak in there a few times and finish that part up.

My mother and I are taking on an Advent calendar project for the church fair. We are alternating red and green squares with stockings that are open at the top so a candy cane or other small treat can fit in there. On Tuesday we sorted through our fabrics and made a practice block. My mother spent the rest of the week working really hard on it and sent me this picture yesterday. The blocks have not been arranged in the final order in this photo.

I will work on the numbers for the stockings and the quilting/finishing. I think it’s going to be such a cute raffle in November.

How are you progressing this week?
