Blog Tour Winners, Quilt Show

Hello there!

I hope everyone enjoyed the 100 Blocks Blog Tour last week! I can’t even begin to thank everyone for the thoughtful comments that were left on my blog in regard to my Ukulele-lei Block. I was thrilled to be a part of the fun once again. The winners of the two issues were Karen and Linda! I have emailed both of you so check your email accounts!

I am going to try to reply to as many of the comments as I can over the next few weeks. Some of you had left questions within your comments and I didn’t have time to answer them as the blog tour was happening. I’ll do my best to get to all of them starting today. I will be answering them through email with you.

It has been a busy week with Thanksgiving prep starting and half days for parent teacher conferences. My exercise and diet routines have all but disappeared. I am hoping to get myself organized this week as much as I can at this point. One of things I have done today is to sign up for Becky Higgins Project Real Life Class that begins on January 9th. It’s a 12 week course that focuses on not only the Project Life Scrapbook method but on organizing your life, decluttering your space, making the most of your time with friends and family and seeing the blessings in all of it. I signed up through Big Picture Classes and the course is $99. My friend, Tina, has taken this class before and she has inspired me to try it this year as well. I hope you’ll join us too!

Last week I didn’t post much on the blog due to the tour so this week I want to post some pics from the Quilter’s Gathering quilt show that I attended two weeks ago. It was a lovely quilt show in Manchester, NH. I have gone several years and it’s by far, my favorite show. I’ll break those pictures up into a few different posts.

I loved this quilt with all the flower appliques. The picture doesn’t do it justice!

This quilt blew me away…the maker photoshopped a picture of her daughter with daisies and then had the photo made into fabric.

This quilt was just stunning…the use of color so creative and I believe the use of color category is the ribbon she won.

This was one of my favorites. I’m a sucker for 1930’s prints and this was a beauty. I wrote this one in as my popular vote winner.

My next post will have more from the quilt show and a peek at what I purchased.
Enjoy the day!!
