We had a lot of fun making these for each other. They are simple to make and allow for unlimited creativity plus it’s nice to connect with other quilters at this time of year. On Monday I will mail out your partner’s name and address. I will also post some tutorials on fabric postcard making. You will have the whole month of November to complete it and get it in the mail. Last night was Halloween and only one of my kids went out! Boy, do I feel old. Leah went as a 50’s girl, Amanda had jazz band and Lindsey passed out the candy.

Today I’m working on this little mini nativity quilt design. It’s only a 12″ x 12″ which makes small applique pieces a problem. I could go in the direction of something larger or leave it as is and work with small’ish pieces. I’d love to add animals and a shepherd but then you’re into really tiny pieces. I did a detailed nativity quilt a few years ago and ended up using markers to draw in some details.

Tomorrow I am heading to NH with my mom for the Quilter’s Gathering quilt show. I love this show…such eye candy and lots of vendors! Need I say more?
