Goodies for a Tuesday!

So it’s Tuesday and even though I’m rocking a slight migraine at the moment, I can’t help but be inspired today…the long weekend was a really good one which included heading into Boston for the Street Piano exhibit. We went on Sunday which turned out to be the last day the pianos were there before being removed on Monday! The Street Piano project was started in London and is an international project. Boston had 75 pianos installed in and around the city inviting people of all ages and ability to sit and play. The slogan on each of the uniquely painted pianos read, “Play Me, I’m Yours”. Amanda was itching to get her fingers on a few on those pianos and Lindsey surprised us all by singing along on the Greenway! Here is a little collage of the piano playing…

It was a fun, fun day and we capped it off with dinner at Joe’s American on the waterfront. The weather was perfect and we couldn’t have asked for a better day!

Ok, if you want to be truly inspired, you have to watch this video of Pat Delaney’s interview after winning Best of Show at AQS. Pat lives the next town over from me and she is a member of my quilt guild. I have taken a class with Pat and she is just the nicest, most patient teacher one could hope for. Big congratulations to Pat!!!! The video doesn’t mention it but Pat does all of her quilting on her domestic machine. No long arm…oh to be that good! Take note of the double looped edges around the whole quilt.

Jean over at the Quilted Cupcake was working on her Martha Stewart scoring board last week. I won a scoring board in February and almost gave it away…twice!! I had no idea what to do with it. Jean sent me this great video on how it can be used and after I saw that, I decided to give my own rosettes a try. Mine is not as nice as the ones in the video but hey, it was my first try! The video is 11 minutes…just an FYI.
