Weekend Projects, Pumpkin Recipes

Happy Monday to all!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend and found some crafty time! I found myself with a little bit of time this weekend to work on getting the Christmas jelly roll quilt quilted and this week I’ll add binding. I did cut the strips but I haven’t done much more.

I finished up my first Hawaiian Impressions mini quilt and started the next one. This was the Blue Ginger flower and the photo I was working from was taken at the Maui Tropical Plantation Center.

The next one is my interpretation of sunset over Lanai as seen from the Kam 3 beach…I am using Inktense Blocks on this one.

Yesterday I started cutting a layer cake for a Double Slice Layer Cake quilt that will be for the music school to raffle in June.

I worked a little bit on my loopy free motion quiting and some pebbles…

Amanda found this list of pumpkin recipes and I have to say, I started to get really jazzed by it around recipe #20…pumpkin chocolate cheesecake and pumpkin smore cake! C’mon…yummy….

This seems counter productive after what I just typed but I did get a FitBit to track my walking, sleeping, etc. I have found it to be motivating especially since so many of the Twilters also have one. Since wearing it on Friday I have gone on several walks around the block to get my step count up that I never would have gone on…so that’s progress, right? I am looking forward to setting some goals on it and sticking to a better food plan. Do you FitBit? I am http://www.fitbit.com/user/27886R on it and part of the quilting group there as well. That group is the QuiltCast FitBitters.

I think that’s it for today! What are you all working on this week?
