Workin’ On It, Finishes & Flowers

This week has been pretty productive so far!

I worked on my Sashiko (no photo yet)
I got all four new patterns that will be offered through QuiltWoman formatted and submitted! YAHOOO! I will show them all off as soon as I see them up on the Quilt Woman site. I can’t wait to show them to you!

I finished this quilt earlier in the week…

I got back to running this morning although it was not a great run. It had been about 10 days I think since the last time I did run and boy was it obvious! But hey, at least I moved!

I got my Amazing Box Embroidery Card Reader/Writer back in action, I think! My embroidery machine does not have a computer hook up so in order to utilize downloadable embroidery designs, I had to purchase this device. I got it a few years ago and spent about $200 on it. I used it a few times and then my computer got updated to Windows 7 and I never tried the Amazing Box on the computer again until today. I was able to “update the drivers”, blah blah, and then reinstall the software and I’m pretty sure it worked. The machine made a whirring noise and it said the blank card had been written with the downloaded design! So the next step will be putting the card in the machine and seeing if it works. I really wanted to try one of those in the hoop zipper cases that Katie had made in this post
I’ll try it later in the week.

These beauties are growing in my front flower bed…I believe the variety is called Pineapple Amethyst…aren’t they pretty?

So…my canvas print came today and I was going to wait until the second on arrived to show you but I’m soooooo excited I have to do it now. Here is the one that came today. It’s my own girls with my niece and nephew when they were little at the apple picking farm. It’s an old photo but it’s one of my all time favorites and look how great it came out on canvas!!!!

I love that the photo wraps around the edges…

And I love that there is a wall hanger on it and I don’t have to figure out how to get one on the canvas…
