Fun Friday Fabric, Photos, Week’s Progress

Oh so many things to say on this Friday!! First off, I have to start with how completely floored I am by the kind words left on my 100 Blocks Blog Tour post! I didn’t realize until last night that so many people had left comments on the QuiltMaker blog as well expressing their love of the Home Tweet Home block, quilt and my design process. I wish that I could speak with each of you personally and tell you how excited, moved and thankful I am for your kindness. Much love to everyone and welcome to all the new readers of the blog!

I will choose winners this evening for the two copies of the magazine and the copy of Little Quilts for Big Occasions. I believe there are 350 or more comments on that post and I will choose randomly from those comments for the winners. I will notify you by email if you have won.

This week was a busy one and I missed my Workin’ On It Wednesday post due to wanting to leave the blog tour post up as the first posting for this week. Here is my progress…
I caught up with Project Life through March 2013

My mom came down last weekend and we chose the jelly roll strips for the vest she is making me…aren’t they luscious? There’s enough for two vests!

I worked on my thread sketching on the butterfly art quilt. I have the flowers completed and will work on the butterfly next.

I started the Couch To 5K running program and along my running route this week, I took this picture of the Vinca Vine growing up the tree stump. Something spoke to me about this photo and I now need to somehow turn it into an art quilt. photo (73)

Speaking of art quilts…have you begun your Project Hope Online Quilt Show 2013 art quilt yet? I have a rough idea in my head of what mine will look like. I will begin work on that in a few weeks.
Remember…it’s an art quilt that reflects the themes of hope, love and peace, 12″x 12″ and should be up on the Flickr Group by the last day of June. Click Here for more info.
