Workin’ On It Wednesday

Written By: Sandra Colwell - Feb• 06•13

This week I worked on a few things. What did you all work on?

I finished up the 100 Blocks quilt and shipped it.
I pulled out my Sashiko coasters that I stitched over the summer and made the decision to actually make them into coasters this week. I had been stalling with the thought that maybe I would put them in a wall hanging. I decided against it because they were easy enough to make and I really wanted to see them being used. These are the finished coasters…

Lindsey, Leah and I made a few more bears for the Comfort Bear program and it was a good thing because I ran into the officer and he needed 4 more. He was putting two in each cruiser and was 4 short. I will deliver those today.
Here’s Leah getting her turn to stitch…

I worked on my Project Life album. I got the month of January completed. I also pulled out some of stuff for the upcoming retreat. Here is page one of the 2013 album…

I cut some squares for the next church mission quilt.

I stitched one row of Lindsey’s quilt.

I made no progress on my knook scarf :(

My cousin, Anne, passed away on Sunday evening and I wrote her eulogy. She was a lovely person, had a full life until the age of 82 and she will be sorely missed by all of us.

That was my week…plus I learned a few more things on the ukelele.

I’m off with Lindsey to the ortho as she is getting her braces on today!!!!

Another busy, productive week for you. Your coasters are lovely. It is interesting to have different kinds of projects to work on, I’m sure. Ah, braces day. I remember it well.
