This morning I am getting ready to head off to church to rejoin the ladie’s sewing group. I quilted with them from January until May and then the group didn’t meet over the summer. They started up again in the fall but I delayed my own start up until today. I really felt I needed the fall to concentrate on some new projects. I still feel that way but I’ll never go back if I keep thinking I’m too busy all the time.
This week I’m working on finishing my nephew’s quilt. I did some binding work yesterday but it still needs the sleeve stitched on and some photos stitched onto the back as well. I printed the photos onto fabric photo paper and later I’ll cut them and stitch them on.
I received the supplies to do some batik fabric dyeing for Christmas! I have the wax, wax melter, tjanting tools and the prepared for dye fabric. Now I need to get up the courage to play with it and see how it turns out. I have one piece of pink dyed fabric ready to be sacrificed to the cause!! Maybe tomorrow!
This week I also worked on my Knook scarf. It is supposed to be an infinity scarf but it turns out my patience for this scarf is finite. So…it might be shorter than intended. I’d like to get it done and work on some smaller dish towels instead.
Enjoy your Wednesday!

Oooh, batik dying! A few years ago I was on eBay 24/7 looking for Indian batik stamps. They’re gorgeous! Hope to see some of your artwork soon!
Ooh didn’t realize there were stamps for it! Thanks for mentioning that, I will have to hunt some down!! Lol!!! Did you make batiks?
What fun! Dharma Trading has stamps and a couple of times a year they get new tjanting from Indonesia. These sell pretty quick so it’s good to sign up for their newsletter to get notice. Mary Ann
